This concert season recognizes the legendary developer of Apple Valley, Newton T. Bass and a multi-year pledge made by The Apple Valley Foundation to support the Victor Valley Community Concert Association.

With the support and encouragement of Mr. Bass, The Apple Valley Foundation was formed in 1953 for the purpose of building and forming a hospital in Apple Valley. Following the community's success and the opening of St. Mary Hospital, the foundation continued it's support of local schools, the arts and numerous community projects to improve the quality of life in Apple Valley and communities of the High Desert. Major projects include the stadium at Apple Valley High School and the county library in Apple Valley.

The Victor Valley Community Concert Association thanks Francis Bass, the widow of Newton T. Bass and President of The Apple Valley Foundation, for her visionary support of the performing arts that - together with your donations and subscriptions - allows us to present the best concert series in the High Desert for nearly five decades.

The Lancaster Performing Arts Center engages the Antelope Valley in a broad spectrum of regional, national and world class entertainment. Through our commitment to Arts education we provide dynamic theatre programs that enrich the quality of life.

In 1989, the Lancaster City Council voted to build a cultural center for the citizens of its city and their surrounding communities. In tandem with this, The Lancaster Performing Arts Center Foundation was established for the purpose of providing capital, equipment, performance enhancements,and financial support for the Arts for Youth program. Two years later, on November 22, 1991, the City of Lancaster opened the Lancaster Performing Arts Center; its premier performance space for city-sponsored entertainment events, as well as local music, dance and theater groups. Today, the Lancaster Performing Arts Center is anticipating its 21st Season and has become the largest performing arts facility in the northernmost part of Los Angeles County, most commonly known as the Antelope Valley. The success of the Lancaster Performing Arts Center is in large part thanks to the generous contributions of its supporters.

The City of Santa Clarita Arts and Events Office's mission is to promote, support, and develop arts programming, regional and community events for the benefit of local citizens, while utilizing these programs and events to encourage economic development and tourism to the Santa Clarita Valley.

The Santa Clarita Performing Arts Center is located on the campus of College of the Canyons, a California community college located at 26455 Rockwell Canyon Road, Santa Clarita, CA 91355. The $18.3-million facility boasts a spectacular 7,500-square-foot proscenium theater with a state-of-the-art sound system and 886 seats, as well as the experimental Black Box theater. Funded by the State of California ($15.9 million) and the City of Santa Clarita ($2.4 million), the 47,000 square-foot center features instructional, community and professional entertainment and informational programs. Designed with a green room, scene shops, costume and property storage, orchestra pit, make-up/dressing room areas, lockers, showers, ticket booth and snack bar, the Performing Arts Center is a one-of-a-kind performance destination for community members in the Santa Clarita Valley.
